The technology uses improved mixing technology and energy calculations to optimize the use of carbonaceous waste materials in brick making. The technology reduces energy consumption and environmental emissions.

The materials used were wastes from Tyre Industries, Paper Industries, and Sponge Iron Industries. Development Alternatives has already developed process of using these kinds of waste materials in clay brick making. However in cases where the amount produced is quite substantial, industry owners have expressed keen interest to explore possibilities of creating a profitable downstream industry and the use the same in bulk quantities. This would not only solve the issue of environmental degradation, unauthorized dumping but would also generate business thereby transforming the “waste” into “wealth”.
